Application fields:
Moth-proofing agent EMP WAI-100 is a newly and highly efficient moth proofing agent for wool,wool blends, feathers and animal hairs. It can be used with conventional dyeing and after-finishing together. The treated fabric features excellent anti-moth effect and durable property. There is no influence on handling, strength, shade and fastness of the treated fabric. The property of wool fiber and its textile products treated by EMP WAI-100 have been achieved meeting the top standard of International Wool Bureau. The treated woll fabrics has excellent moth proofing property after washing, and has excellent fastness to sunlight.
Advantages:
Good fastness to shrinkage and soaping;
Having no adverse effect on dyeing property of common dyes ,such as acid dye, neutral dye, mordant dye, reactive dye for wool;
Having no influence on color and fastness, and having no damage to woll fiber strength;
Highly effective against all moths list in IWS E10;
Having high fsatness to wasing and dry cleaning;
Having good heat stability;
Can be eliminated in waste water treatment plants.
Characteristics:
Appearance: Light yellow liquid;
Ionicity: Non- ionogenic;
Solubility: Can be blend with any proportion of water, and can dissolve in esters and glycols.
Compatibility: Can principally be applied in combination with others textile chemicals such as foaming agents, resins, binder systems, fluorocarbons, anti-soil products, softeners, antistatic products and flame retardents. Compatibilities, however, should be tested in advance.
Application:
EMP WAI-100 is used mainly together with wool dyeing process.
EMP WAI-100 is suitable for dyeing process of flock dyeing, top dyeing, piece dyeing, hank dyeing and garment dyeing. The agent can be used in dyeing process of common dyes for wool, such as acid dye, neutral dye, mordant dye, reactive dye.
Under normal circumstances, dyeing conditions has no change with addition of EMP WAI-100.
Normal treatment condition is as follows:
EMP WAI-100: 0.6-0.8 % (o.w.f.);
Liquor ratio: 1:20 ~ 1:40;
pH value of dye bath: ≤7 (optimal :3~5)
Example process:
Dilute EMP WAI-100 with severalfold cool water, stir to form emulsion, add the emulsion into treatment bath having wool fabrics and run for 5 min., and add soluble dye into the bath, heat up to boiling point, keeping at 98~100ºC for 40~60 min., and after then , rinse, dewater and dry the wool fabrics.
During the dyeing with acid dye and mordant dye, EMP WAI-100 can be added after adding potash alum, and temperature is kept for 40-60min.
EMP WAI-100 can also be applied by means of after-treatment and spray moth-proofing process.
Storage:
Store in original containers. Keep containers securely sealed. No smoking, naked lights or ignition source. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Store away from incompatible materials and foodstuff containers. Protect against physical damage and check regularly for leaks.
