Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES, INCI Name) is a widely used anionic surfactant, also known as Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate or AES. It is produced by ethoxylation of lauryl alcohol followed by sulfation, typically with 2-3 moles of ethylene oxide (EO) attached.
