Pigment yellow 74 application: mainly used in Water base Ink , Textile Printing,industry coating, offset ink,flexo ink.
The color light of Pigment Yellow 74 is between Pigment Yellow 1 and Pigment Yellow 3, and the coloring power is higher than that of any monoazo yellow pigment. Due to the different size of the particles, they can be divided into different commercial grades, and different commercial grades have different commercial values. Pigments with finer particles, such as those with a specific surface area of 30-70m2 / g, are mainly used in the printing ink industry. The inks produced with them are more colorful and have better transparency. The coloring power of Pigment Yellow 74 is equivalent to that of disazo yellow pigment, and the color of Pigment Yellow 74 is consistent with the German standard for printed printing. In offset printing, it also complies with Kodak standards. In European standards, Pigment Yellow 74 is greener than standard yellow.
Pigment Yellow 74, which has finer particles, has a light fastness that is 2-3 grades higher than that of disazo yellow pigments with similar tinting strength. Therefore, it can meet high light fastness occasions, such as packaging printing inks. Its solvent resistance is relatively poor. Pigment Yellow 74 is resistant to acid, alkali and saponification. Pigment Yellow 74 with finer particles can also be used in the coating industry, such as the preparation of air-dried paint and latex paint. Due to the high color strength, its use cost is much lower than Pigment Yellow 1, so it has a price advantage. However, Pigment Yellow 74 tends to bloom, which hinders its application in enamels.
The paint industry prefers to use pigment yellow 74 with a low specific surface area (about 12-20m2 / g) and very coarse particles because they have good hiding power and can replace inorganic chrome yellow pigments in air-drying paints. The fluidity of this variety is good, even if its concentration is increased in the paint, it will not affect the fluidity of the paint, nor will it affect the gloss of the product. Relatively speaking, the coarser varieties have lower transparency. The lower the transparency, the lower the gorgeousness. At the same time, the redder the shade, the better the light fastness and durability. In various organic solvents, their stability is better, but the resistance to migration is similar to that of fine particles.
