Application fields:
Anti-dustmite and anti-microbial finishing agent EMP AMB-100 for textiles perform highly effective for mite and bacteria resistance, excellent durability and good safety. The agent exerts no negative influence on the whiteness, shade, tenacity, touch and permeability.
The agent is for washfast protection against dust mites for home textiles including filling materials. Application is possible on all common types of fibres and fabrics except pure polypropylene.
Applications examples include: Mattress ticking, protecting mattress covers and supports, quilts, pillows, bed sheets, pillow covers, quilt covers, curtains, textile wall coverings as well as upholstery fabrics and furniture filling materials.
Action mode of the agent
Substrates protected with EMP AMB-100are noted for their proven, outstanding skin tolerance and are safe to man and environment.
EMP AMB-100 has a reliable bacteriostatic effect against a large number of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria as well as an anti-dustmite effect.
Due to the effectiveness of EMP AMB-100 germs and dust mites are deprived of their nutrients and can no longer proliferate.

| Fastness |
Washfast up to 60°C. Highest washfastness can be achieved on cotton in combination with EMP FIX-ET and EMP SOFT-UP. Fast to dry cleaning as well as light, rubbing and ironing. No effect on handle and electrostatic charge. Fastnesses of formulations with other textile chemicals should be tested in advance. |
Application

Washfast anti dust mite protection up to 10 times, 40°C: 1.5-2.0% of EMP AMB-100 relative to the dry weight of the textiles to be nished.
Washfast anti dust mite protection up to 30 - 50 times, 60°C: 1.5-3.0% of EMP AMB-100 in combination with2-6%EMP FIX-ET( and as necessary 1-2%EMP SOFT-UP for more softness) relative to the dry weight of the textiles to be nished. |
| Padding |
Undiluted EMP AMB-100 should be added to the bath as last component while stirring to homogenity. Optimal results are achieved at pH 4 - 7. The absorption properties may be improved by adding a wetting agent. |
| Foam application |
EMP AMB-100 should be mixed into the foam bath according to the instructions for the foaming agent. To obtain sufcient penetration on medium-thick and thick fabrics, foam application must be made on humid material. |
| Coating |
EMP AMB-100 can be mixed with aqueous back-llings. The compatibility has to be checked beforehand. |
| Spray application |
EMP AMB-100 can only be sprayed in diluted form (at least 1:50 with water). Spray applications have to comply with occupational health requirements. |
| Further treatment |
The goods are dried without any further rinses. The drying temperature should be kept as low as possible. |

In order to check the antimicrobial and acarostatic effectiveness on the treated textiles, the following test methods are recommended: |

Anti-dustmite effect can be tested according to Standard JIS L1920 and GB/T 24253-2009. Standard AATCC-100,AATCC 147 or JIS L1902 are recommended for testing antimicrobial effect. |

| Incompatibility |
Avoid storage with oxidisers. Avoid contamination of water, foodstuff, feed or seed. |

Store in original containers. Keep containers securely sealed. No smoking, naked lights or ignition source. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Store away from incompatible materials and foodstuff containers. Protect against physical damage and check regularly for leaks. |
