Properties of iron oxide yellow
Powder from lemon yellow to brown. Relative density 2.44~3.60. Melting point 350~400ºC. Insoluble in water and alcohol, soluble in acid. Fine powder, it is a crystalline iron oxide hydrate. Due to different production methods and operating conditions, different hydration degrees, crystal structure and physical properties are very different. Coloring power, hiding power, light resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, and heat resistance are all good. Crystal water is decomposed above 150ºC and turns red. Inhalation of dust can cause pneumoconiosis, and the maximum allowable concentration in the air is 5mg/m2.
Uses of iron oxide yellow
1. Iron oxide yellow pigment is used as a pigment or colorant in various types of concrete prefabricated parts and building products, and is directly added to cement for application.
